Wanna help your neighbors find reproductive health resources? ARFA is growing our network of local spots that are helping make reproductive healthcare easier to find, and we’d love for you to be a part! Maybe you’ve got a bulletin board where you can hang a flyer, or maybe you want to offer free birth control. You get to choose what makes sense for your space!

We’ve put together all the literature, materials, and resources ARFA currently has available, so you can pick and choose what you’d like to share. The list will keep growing as we add new resources!

If your space is already stocking ARFA materials, THIS IS FOR YOU TOO! Please fill out the form anyway and take a look at the current menu. You might spot something new you’d like us to bring your way!

Whether you’re sharing a QR code, putting a flyer on the wall, or helping someone access birth control, you’re making reproductive healthcare easier to find in Amarillo!

We are so happy to partner with Haven Health to offer Texas Benefit Application Assistance!
Help is available on the third Tuesday of each month at a different APL location. Individuals and families needing help with benefit applications can meet with a patient navigator for assistance with the complicated and often confusing process of applying for benefits. Patient Navigators can assist with applications for:
• Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
• Healthy Texas Women (HTW)
• Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening (BCCS)
The next session is Tuesday, September 15 from 3 to 6 PM at the Southwest Branch Library!

Texans of different races, ages, and genders are coming together through the Texas Abortion Advocacy Network to restore and expand abortion access for everybody in our state. Since we can’t rely on the courts to protect our reproductive rights, we the people must claim our freedom to make personal decisions about or bodies and our futures.

This upcoming training will provide participants with a range of classes, each led by experts in abortion access advocacy, to ensure that are well-prepared to champion reproductive rights and buid power for a better Texas.

Throughout the fall, classes will be held virtually on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm CT beginning September 15 and ending December 1 (breaks on Nov. 3 and 24). We hope you will join us for this next round of training! To register, please visit the link in our bio!

Surveillance societies are designed to wedge people apart, keep them silent and suspicious of one another, and to not rely on community out of fear. Amarillo continues to increase surveillance and it’s time to speak up!

Our city council will be discussing security camera surveillance with the Amarillo Police Department and we need you to make your voice heard! Whether you submit a public comment or are able to take the time to speak at the meeting, you are making a difference.

We learned in 2024 that Amarilloans believe safety doesn’t come from government overreach into our freedoms and right to privacy, but from the power of leaning in to stand together.

AATAG's Food Distribution program is looking for donations of rice to help cover a recent increase in need.

You can drop off donations at 520 SW 10th Street, the Texas Panhandle Democratic HQ.

Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group AATAG, which operates a weekly food distribution serving food-insecure neighbors in Amarillo, has put out a call for help.

They are specifically requesting rice of any kind for the food boxes they distribute to local families.

They have seen a significant increase in need, including among immigrant and refugee families, and their work is an incredible example of mutual aid in action.

If you are able to help, please bring rice donations to the Texas Panhandle Democratic Headquarters, and we will make sure they get to AATAG.
You can bring goods to our upcoming monthly meeting, or drop them by the headquarters during business hours this week.
