Budweiser Distributing Company of Amarillo has once again graciously allowed the Amarillo South Rotary Club to raise funds during the Annual Budweiser Partnership Golf Tournament. Proceeds help Amarillo South support local and international charities.
With community support, Rotary clubs in Amarillo have provided customized books to more than 26,000 kindergarten students in underserved Amarillo schools since 2006.
At Humphrey’s Highland, Mesa Verde, and Forest Hill schools, one student from each grade level receives a bicycle and helmet at the end of each six-week grading period for maintaining perfect attendance. The program distributes 75 bicycles and helmets each year, and continued contributions are essential to keeping these initiatives strong.
Event proceeds also help Amarillo South recognize outstanding deputies, police officers, and firefighters each quarter or year.
