💙 25 years of celebrating some pretty incredible people!

Southwest Ambucs was proud to once again be part of the annual Buddy Walk, hosted by the Panhandle Down Syndrome Guild!

It’s become an annual tradition our club looks forward to every year. The smiles, hugs and unforgettable moments are priceless, and we’re grateful to play a small part in such a special day.

🌴 Southwest AMBUCS Goes to Myrtle Beach!

Several Southwest AMBUCS members and their wives recently attended the AMBUCS National Conference, where we learned, connected with clubs from across the country, and saw the incredible impact AMBUCS is making nationwide.

A highlight was sponsoring an AmTryke for Myra Boswell and watching her experience the joy and independence we help provide. ❤️

Southwest AMBUCS was also honored with national recognition for our work during the 2025–2026 year! 🏆

What a great day for Southwest AMBUCS! 💙

This week, we had the privilege of presenting three new AmTrykes and celebrating three incredible kids and their families!

🚲 2 year-old Ezekiel received an AM-10. Big thanks to his therapists Dani Campbell and Taylor Powell of TX Panhandle Centers.

🚲 15 year-old Jackson received a Paceline 20, with therapist Shelah Blair-Johnston of Therapy 2000.

🚲 2 year-old Knoxlee received a 1410, with therapist Elaine Gray Brown of NWTHS.

A HUGE thank you to Frank's Repair Plumbing Inc for sponsoring all three AmTrykes! Your generosity is helping provide mobility, independence, and a whole lot of smiles to these families.

We also want to give a very special thank you to Shabi Balila, owner of The Corner Grill , who hosted our weekly lunch. Shabi went above and beyond by donating lunch for our entire group!

Shabi, thank you to you and your entire staff for your hospitality, generosity, and support of Southwest AMBUCS and the work we’re doing in our community. We truly appreciate you!

What a great day for three Amtryke presentations! 💙🚲

We were excited to present 36-year-old Cesar with his new Paceline 20 Amtryke, sponsored by Michael Debault! Cesar’s therapist is Jennifer Mounce with NWTHS.

We also had the joy of presenting 2-year-old Maya with her new AM-10 Amtryke, sponsored by Steven Keith! Maya’s therapist is Dani Campbell with TX Pan Centers.

And 6-year-old Kamile received her new AM-12 Amtryke! Kamile’s therapists are Maegan Harder and Sumer Bennett with Green Apple Therapy. Sponsored by Josh and Alicia Langham.

It's not every day we get to welcome VIPs to Southwest AMBUCS!

We were honored to have Amanda Storer, Southwest Region Director, and Terry Lanham, National Big Hat President, join us for our monthly meeting. They shared an encouraging update on the state of AMBUCS across Texas, highlighted the incredible work happening throughout our region, and reminded us how our local efforts are making a difference nationwide.

Thank you both for taking the time to visit Amarillo and for your continued leadership and dedication to the AMBUCS mission. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to create mobility and independence for those we serve.

💙 Three more smiles. Three more lives changed.

We're proud to present our three new AmTryke recipients!!

🚲 4 year-old Bernardo received a 1410 AmTryke with the help of therapist Lindsay Harris from PSSTexas. Thank you to Kurt and Maggie Stansbury for sponsoring Bernardo's tryke.

🚲 10 year-old Max received an AM-16 AmTryke, supported by therapists Maegan Harder and Sumer Bennett of Green Apple Therapy. A special thank you to Lanny and Jill Schoeling for making Max's tryke possible.

🚲 8 year-old Logan received a Paceline 16 AmTryke with the help of therapist Maegan Harder from Green Apple Therapy. Thank you to Stansbury Equipment for your generous sponsorship.

🎉👏 Southwest AMBUCS recently celebrated another successful year at our annual Installation Banquet, where we recognized outstanding members for their dedication and welcomed our new leadership team for the coming year.

We would like to congratulate and thank David Martinez, Scott Baland, Gary Floyd, J.D. Benson, Tam Boatler, and Danny Nabors for being recognized for their exceptional service to our club. Southwest AMBUCS would not be able to fulfill its mission without the immeasurable time, energy, and commitment these individuals generously give to our organization and community.

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to outgoing President Landon Brantley for his leadership, dedication, and service during his term. Thank you, Landon, for helping move our chapter forward and continuing our mission of creating mobility and independence for those we serve.

This month please help us celebrate our AmTryke Recipients:

✨ 2 year-old Sire - Recipient of an AM-10 AmTryke, with therapist Dani Campbell from Texas Panhandle Centers.

✨ 55 year-old David – Recipient of a Tadpole AmTryke, with therapist Rachelle Elliott from the VA Hospital.

These adaptive tricycles provide freedom, mobility, exercise, and independence to individuals who may not be able to ride a traditional bike.

A special thank you to Tyson Foods for making these life-changing gifts possible. Your support helps us continue our mission of creating mobility and independence for children and adults throughout our community.
