A project of Center City of Amarillo
& the Amarillo Cultural District. The goals of the Amarillo Cultural Arts District are:
1.

Raise awareness and visibility of Amarillo’s cultural assets to include individuals, organizations and programs.

2. Promote the district as a destination for residents and visitors.

3. Involve and engage the artists, art organization and community in district development. Amarillo has a wide variety of cultural arts:
Performing Arts -- Amarillo Symphony, Amarillo Little Theatre, Amarillo Opera,

Amarillo Chamber Music, Lone Star Ballet, and numerous venues for live music
Visual Arts -- the Amarillo Museum of Art (AMOA), private galleries including Process Art House, Cerulean, Red and Blue Sage galleries, Sunset Center Art Galleries and Art in Public Places
Culinary Arts -- the Downtown Dining District has more than 30 restaurants with more in the Historic Route 66 area and the Civic Circle Area
Architecture -- Center City has a great collection of buildings in the Pueblo Deco style. Several buildings have won awards for historic preservation or adaptive reuse. Historic Sixth Avenue has a great collection of historic retail buildings dating to the automobile era of Route 66.

Center City's High Noon on the Square starts on Wednesday, June 3 with Ed Montana. Lunch is $12 with hamburgers from the Coors Cowboy Club Cook Team. High Noon continues every Wednesday in June & July.
