🎶 Special Guest Spotlight: Billy Stull 🎶
As we prepare for Friends of Fogelberg this Friday, we’re thrilled to highlight one of our special guests: Amarillo native, Billy Stull! 🌟
Billy Stull is a legendary figure in the music world, known for his iconic music store, Billy’s Band Aid, and his successful bands, most notably The Cords. As the most popular band in Amarillo during the 60s and 70s, The Cords went on to work with legendary producer Norman Petty, who also produced for Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. With Norman's guidance, The Cords secured record deals with ATCO (Atlantic), CBS, and several international labels.
Billy's journey didn't stop there. After selling Billy’s Band Aid, he moved to Clovis, NM, to run the Norman Petty studio and later launched a new record label for Warner Bros. His expertise in mastering recordings led him to create Masterpiece Mastering, which he now operates from South Padre Island.
Billy's innovation extends beyond music. He co-designed a revolutionary audio product with Rupert Neve to assist mastering engineers worldwide and recently launched a product that enhances any singer's voice on any microphone. 🎤
But Billy's talents don’t end with music production—he even made it to the stage of America’s Got Talent, where he performed in front of a live audience of 4,000 people, including Simon Cowell and the other judges. His song and dance routine brought his creativity to the national stage.
In July of 2023, Billy hosted a memorable Billy’s Band Aid Reunion show in Amarillo, bringing together some of the city's finest musicians. Although the weather cut the concert short, it was a night to remember for over 400 attendees.
Don’t miss the chance to see Billy Stull this Friday at Friends of Fogelberg! 🎸Tickets available here: http://www.panhandletickets.com
