This week we had several groups from Amarillo children's home come to the outreach center and helped do some sprucing up and work around the outreach. They cleaned the building painted racks made over 130 sloppy Joe meals. We can't express how much we appreciate when groups, churches and businesses jump in to help us help others.
Remember it's really simple Jesus said LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS.

ATTENTION PLEASE!!!!
We are completely out of bags for our snack bags. If you collect grocery bags we desperately need them. If you don't have any you can buy a box of bags from Sam's. Thank you in advance for helping us help others.

We had a blast today at the outreach. We were open like normal and our friends at Faith City Mission had their fourth of July cook out. So all of our friends and family were able to eat then come get clothes and other needs met. We also had a group of youth come and help make snack bags for our peeps.
We love being able to help our friends and our community. Remember LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS.

First of all we want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. We received so much help to restock our snack bag room.
If you don't know everything donated goes directly to people in need in our community. Not a single person gets paid. Reality is those on our team pay out of our pockets quite a bit to fulfill needs. We have a church that helps with the building but that's about to come to an end. We don't receive government help. This whole ministry is ran by some volunteers and donations by our community.
The picture of the restocked snack bag room cost $2300 and 9 hours of loading and unloading. We are hoping to get 6-8 weeks out of this. When we restock water that's another $900 for 4 pallets.
We say this not for a guilt trip but to be transparent and so you understand what it takes just to help someone not go hungry for a day.
So when yall come through like you have the couple of weeks it brings us to our knees. We love every single person that comes through our doors more then they may ever realize. Some of them are like family. The ones that take snack bags out to the streets have made connections with so many homeless that may never darken the door of our outreach.
We as a group believe that Jesus left us three main directions LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS AND TELL EVERYONE ABOUT HIM. And we function our outreach in that exact order. Love God with all our being. Then we love others and build relationships and we cry with them rejoice with them or just sit and listen while we give them their physical needs the best we can with snack bags and clothes. Then once they see us act like Jesus taught us to they start asking questions. That opens the door for the last part and we introduce them to our Jesus.
If this is something you can get with to try and make a difference in our own back yard. We have lots of ways to help in the outreach, behind the scenes in the outreach or doing snack bag runs. If you don't have time to physically help we take clothes donations, certain types of food donations or we will take monetary donations and put every cent back into the ministry.
If you want to contact us for more information about what we do. Please feel free to message us on here. You can also text or call our volunteer info number 806-599-0137 and leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as we can.
Once again none of this could happen with out all of us coming together to just help our fellow humans in this community. It's not the governments job to help everyone ITS YOURS AND MINE to help who we can.

I try not to make desperate pleas but we are in desperate times with desperate needs.
If you look at the first picture each piece of paper represents one of the thousands of people that has came through our doors to get help to survive the week.
The second picture is of our snack bag room we are out of food we haven't been able to make snack bags in three weeks. That's three weeks our friends not getting feed by us three times a week.
We don't only help the homeless we help anyone in need. If they homeless cool if they live in poverty cool if they flood victims cool if they tornado victims cool. If they are in need we try to do as much as possible for them. Clothe them feed them talk to them listen to them pray with them cry with them or rejoice with them whatever they need.
But right now our hands are tied on the food side so if you can help in any way please do. We have cash app and venmo or you can go buy what we need and bring it to us.
FOOD USED FOR SNACK BAGS

Today we took water and what little snacks we had in raygus our ministry truck and drove around the flooded areas and passed out stuff and loved on people that lost everything. We delt with kids to the elderly that lost everything.
We saw many tears and gave lots of hugs.
There is lots of small businesses that lost everything. Family owned business gone they lost everything. This flood is going to have devastating consequences for months and months to come.
I highly recommend if you want to help find a home town group or ministry and get plugged in. If you don't have time to physically to do something then donate products they need or give money for them to buy what they need.
We are completely out of food for our snack bags. And almost out of non perishable pantry type food and water.
This is not a political issue this is not a legal illegal issue this is not a government issue. This is a human issue this is a community issue this is a neighbor issue. We know the government will do very little to actually help. It's going to be us banding together and helping each other out.
LOVE GOD AND LOVE OTHERS it's pretty easy

The devastation from this flood to families that lose everything and can't afford to start over is going to be historic.
I went and waded around one of the apartments that got devastated and it's truly heart breaking seeing people dragging all their possessions out of the house completely soaked and ruined.
Let's be real the government ain't gonna help a whole lot. But to be fair it's not their job to do it.
It's your job and my job and our neighbors job and the biggest one of all ITS YOUR CHURCHES JOB. We need to stop relying on the government to handle our problems and as human beings and if you consider your self a Christian as a Christian it our job to help each other out when it comes to situations like this.
Show up to a neighbor hood that got affected and go door to door and help start cleaning up. Or hook up with a group or ministry that will be helping.
If you don't want to get your hands dirty or don't have time cool I get that then find a group that you know for a fact that will be directly putting your donations in the hands of the ones that need it. Don't donate to groups your not positive if it's to help a family her or if they will send it to help someone in new York. And bring them supplies or give them money to go get what they need to help everyone.
This isn't my normal type of post but nothing about all this flooding is normal. We need to come together and help our community and neighbors together.
Remember everything in the Bible breaks down to three main things LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS AND TELL EVERYONE ABOUT HIM.
Of course I suggest love in action outreach but any local group trying to make a difference is a great thing.
