🏃 IT’S OFFICIALLY RACE WEEK! 🏃‍♀️

We have an important update regarding packet pickup and in-person registration for the 2026 Canyon 2 Mile Torch Run!

📦 PACKET PICKUP & IN-PERSON REGISTRATION
Friday, September 4
5:00–7:00 p.m.
Bubba's 33 - Amarillo, TX – Amarillo
2813 I-40, Amarillo, TX 79109
Find us near the restaurant entrance!

Registration is $40 and includes a T-shirt while supplies last.

To receive official race timing, you must register before packet pickup ends at 7:00 p.m. Race-day registration will still be available, but those registering on race day will not qualify for the timing system.

THANK YOU Town Square Nutrition & Energy for graciously opening your doors to Special Olympics Texas – Panhandle and helping us host this fundraiser! 🥤🥤🥤

Because of Town Square’s generosity and the support of our community, we raised $339 for Special Olympics Texas athletes right here in the Panhandle!

We would also like to thank NewsChannel10 for coming out and helping us share this special event with the community!

We are so grateful to everyone who showed up and supported our athletes. Together, we are creating more opportunities for our athletes to compete, grow and shine!

Area 16 Unified Champion Schools are kicking off the 2026–2027 school year the UNIFIED WAY! 🏫 ✨🤍

We’re excited to welcome the campuses across the Texas Panhandle and Region 16 ESC that joined Unified Champion Schools during August:

What a fun weekend for our Special Olympics Texas Panhandle athletes at our local area swimming competition! We are so proud of every athlete who jumped in, gave it their all, and showed us what determination, courage, and sportsmanship look like.

A huge THANK YOU to Town Club for welcoming us and providing such a wonderful space for our athletes to compete and shine! We are so grateful for your continued support of Special Olympics Texas!

We also want to give a special shoutout to the Amarillo Police Department for being part of our Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) initiative and for helping us continue to build meaningful connections between law enforcement, our athletes, and our community.. 🚔
