A much needed support group for breast feeding moms!

Nurse Family Partnership Amarillo and Silvia Garbalena-Esparza, CNM Founder of ABBI and owner of Beyond Birth Midwifery have teamed up to bring this much needed in person support group to the community.

First meeting will be this Friday!!

“Latched” is a breastfeeding support group for all moms at any stage of their breast feeding journey.

Thank you to the CLC nurses from Nurse Family Partnership Amarillo for being available to provide support.

All breast feeding mommas are invited.

Hi guys! My name is Crystal. I am a postpartum doula, teller supervisor at ANB, mother and wife.
I became a doula in 2021.

My passion is to educate families and assisting them in adjusting to the new chapter in their life.

Hey! I’m Ash!
I am the social media officer for ABBI. So if you have questions and comments on Insta/Facebook I’m the one you’re talking to!
My main hustle is that if a birth photographer. I have been involved in the birth world since 2015 and I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life.
When I’m not working however, you’ll find me homeschooling and working on conducting my church choir!
Throughout the next month I’ll be introducing you to the other board members so keep an eye out for them! They are a truly amazing group of women who put their whole hearts into this work ❤️

Silvia Garbalena-Esparza is our founder, and here’s a little snippet of her reasons for creating ABBI!
“One of my ultimate goals after becoming a midwife was to provide care to low-income woman. I guess this desire stems from realizing how much my parents struggled to make ends meet. Both my parents were immigrants who came to the United States to make a better life for themselves and their children. My mom had 3 births in California. She mentioned to me that she had limited prenatal care with her pregnancies and they paid $20 every month for years to pay off the hospital deliveries. I founded ABBI for people like my parents, those that leave their homes for better opportunities.
God has blessed my practice immensely and I am finally able to start helping those in need. But my vision has grown to more than just using my skill to provide a service to the community. It has grown to where I want to use midwifery to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes in the community. And I do not want to stop with Amarillo, I want to eventually be able to travel to the rural communities so they too can have midwifery care and better out comes.”
