We officially kicked off our first assembly of the 2026 school year at Riverside High School! 🥳

We all had an amazing time! The students went all in during the game, bringing tons of energy, getting competitive, and cheering on their classmates as they received their TCP awards. Thank you to Riverside High School and its business partner, Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc., for helping us start the year on such a great note!

Thank you, PA State Rep. Andrea Verobish, for welcoming Julie and taking the time to learn more about TCP’s impact! We appreciate your support for workforce development and career readiness opportunities for Pennsylvania students.

It was great to welcome Julie Rothrauff with The Challenge Program, Inc. (TCP) to my office for an update on the incredible work they’re doing to connect our students with the workforce!

The Challenge Program bridges the gap between the classroom and career by partnering local businesses with high schools. Here in our community, students from Altoona Area School District, Hollidaysburg Area School District and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy connect with local employers, gain real-world experience and learn about career opportunities right here at home.

We also discussed workforce development and the important role EITC dollars play in supporting these career-readiness programs.

Investing in our students today means building a stronger, more prepared workforce for Pennsylvania tomorrow. Thank you, Julie, for stopping by and sharing more about the impact The Challenge Program is making in our community!
