ALVARADO YOUTH SPORTS ASSOCIATION (AYSA)
OFFICIAL NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND SPECTATORS
Date: October 22, 2026
Subject: Formal Warning Regarding Spectator Conduct at AYSA Events
Dear AYSA Parents, Guardians, Coaches, and Spectators,
The Alvarado Youth Sports Association (AYSA) is committed to providing a safe, positive, healthy, and supportive environment where children can learn the fundamentals of sports, develop teamwork and sportsmanship, build confidence, and grow both as athletes and individuals.
Unfortunately, AYSA has received multiple reports of inappropriate and unacceptable behavior occurring in the stands during our youth sporting events. These reports are deeply concerning and do not reflect the values, standards, or expectations of our organization.
Effective immediately, AYSA will enforce a zero-tolerance approach to behavior that violates our established Code of Conduct.
All parents, guardians, family members, coaches, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all AYSA practices, games, and events. This includes showing respect toward players, coaches, officials, volunteers, board members, opposing teams, and fellow spectators.
Any individual engaging in behavior that violates the AYSA Code of Conduct will be subject to immediate removal from the event, without any additional verbal or written warning. Further disciplinary action may be taken in accordance with AYSA’s bylaws and established policies, including potential restrictions from attending future AYSA events.
THIS LETTER SERVES AS THE FIRST AND ONLY WARNING TO ALL PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND SPECTATORS.
Moving forward, no additional individual warnings will be required before action is taken when violations are observed or substantiated.
AYSA is a youth-centered organization. Our events are intended to provide children with opportunities to learn, compete, make memories, and enjoy the sports they love. Adult misconduct, hostility, intimidation, harassment, and unsportsmanlike behavior have no place in that environment.
We understand that emotions can run high during competitive sporting events. However, the safety, well-being, and positive experience of our children will always take priority over the emotions or disagreements of adults.
We ask every parent, guardian, and spectator to remember that our young athletes are watching and learning from the examples we set. The behavior displayed in the stands should reflect the same respect, discipline, and sportsmanship we expect from our players on the field or court.
AYSA will not allow the actions of individuals to compromise the environment we work hard to provide for our children.
We appreciate the families, volunteers, coaches, and community members who continue to support our athletes in a positive and respectful manner. Together, we can ensure AYSA remains an organization our children and community can be proud of.
Thank you for your immediate attention, understanding, and cooperation.
Sincerely,
AYSA Board of Directors
