Thank you everyone for all you did to make the carnival a success.

We are meeting at the Alvadore Fire Station tomorrow at 1:00 pm to load up the carnival games and supplies to put back in storage. We could use a few good hands and a pick up or two

Please let me know if you are available to assist us.

Since no one was able to help move stuff this evening (Thursday), everything will have to be moved tomorrow morning. We could use a few able-bodied people to help us load, move and unload games and carnival supplies tomorrow morning (Friday) at 8 AM. If we don't get the help we need, a lot of the bigger games will have to remain in storage. Please let me know if you can help and I will provide more details.

We're just days away from celebrating our 50th Halloween carnival, and we're counting on your support to make it a success! We still need candy, snacks, and cash donations to fill our trick-or-treat bags. You can contribute by dropping off donations at Kim's house, the last house on 8th before Starlite, or at the Alvadore Store. Every donation brings us closer to creating an unforgettable experience for our community!

Greetings to all the ghosts and gobblins. We are celebrating our 50th year. It is a true milestone and we want you to be part of the celebration and making it the best one yet.

THESE ARE THINGS WE NEED:

This is a community event (not the Danell and Kim carnival) and we really need a few people to commit to helping to prepare for the carnival. It does not require more than just a few hours between now and Halloween. We have some ideas to make this carnival extra special but we know there are more ideas just waiting to be expressed. If you would like to help, please text or call me (Kim) at 541-729-9846. Remember, this is not just an Alvadore event, everyone is welcome to help and to attend.

DONATIONS:
Items for the raffle table
Candy/snacks for the trick or treat bags
Cash to purchase candy and prizes
Baked goods for the cake walk

DAY OF:
As always, your time is the most valuable. We always need people to help set up carnival games, fill the trick or treat bags, set up prize table and cake walk. A couple of hours goes a long way in getting it up and running. The more people we have, the faster it goes.

CARNIVAL:
We need adults to run games, work the prize table, cake walk, judge costumes, clean up, etc.

NOTE: We would consider serving dinner again but we need 3-4 people to commit to the whole process, including what to serve. We have to have this commitment by October 7th.

We have six of the famous “Paddy Cakes” and a few other cakes and treats for the cake walk but we could use some more cakes, cookies, etc.

We are still looking for a few more raffle items. If you have a business or know of a business who would like to donate a promotional item, gift cards, a product or service for the raffle table, we would be very grateful. Let me know and we can pick it up. Remember, the carnival is a registered non-profit and ALL money made at the carnival, goes back into the carnival. Thank you.

10/27/2024

Reminder that we need donations for the treat bags and raffle items ASAP.

Also, WE NEED YOU! We are desperate for volunteers to help run games and the prize table. We know it’s hard to commit but if we do not have enough volunteers, then some games are not able to be run and that is no fun for the kids.

Recruit your friends and family. Share with your neighbors.

We don’t want our 49th carnival to be our last.

Taking candy and treat donations for the carnival. They can be dropped off at Kim’s house at the end of 8th Street or at the Alvadore Store. We really need to have the donations in by Monday, October 28th. That way we have time to purchase what is needed to fill the treat bags. If you are looking for bargains on candy, I haven’t really seen any. Bi-Mart’s prices are better than most of the grocery stores and Costco has everyone beat. Their 90 ounce bags are $19.99 ($0.22/ounce). I have not found any candy at that price or lower so far. Also, if you would like to donate other individually wrapped food treats, that’s fine, too. Things like chips, snack bars, hot cocoa packets are all acceptable.

If you want to help but don’t want to shop, cash donations are always acceptable. Please share and hope to see you at the carnival.
