Never forget that people will turn you into whatever they need you to be, so that their internal narrative can make sense. Ego is a cunning deceiver.

You'll do everything right and they'll still paint you as the villain. Because they need you to be the villain for their story to work. For them to remain the victim, the misunderstood one, the person who did nothing wrong. So they reshape your intentions, rewrite your actions, twist your words until you fit the role they need you to play in their narrative.

Ego is a cunning deceiver. It protects itself by any means necessary, including completely distorting reality. And if that means making you the bad guy so they don't have to face their own behavior, they'll do it without hesitation. People will turn you into whatever they need you to be so their internal narrative can make sense. And there's nothing you can do about it. You can't control how they frame you in their story. You can only control your own truth. So stop trying to correct their narrative. Let them believe what they need to believe. You know who you are. That's all that matters.

Boundaries

Let that sink in for a second. You didn't do anything to them. You didn't go out of your way to hurt them, you didn't talk behind their back, you didn't cross any line. You simply showed up as yourself, honest, real, and unbothered, and that alone was enough to make them uncomfortable.

Because when you are genuinely authentic in a room full of people performing, your very existence becomes a mirror. And some people cannot stand to see their own reflection. Your realness reminds them of everything they're pretending not to be, and instead of doing the inner work, it's just easier for them to dislike you. It's easier to make you the problem than to face themselves.

Never shrink yourself to make fake people comfortable. Never dim your light because someone else is afraid of the dark. The people who are threatened by your authenticity are the same ones who are exhausted from wearing a mask every single day, and that is not your burden to carry. Keep being real. Keep being you. The right people will love you for exactly who you are, and the wrong ones will expose themselves every single time. Your realness is not a flaw, it is your superpower, and no disguise in the world can compete with that.
