Was a good turnout yesterday for the Veteran’s Sportsman’s Weekend…considering the squirrel hunting wasn’t great and the weather was awful…everyone had a good time…the food was definitely excellent…made wild game chili…and thanks to Dion Ditmore and his skills at smoking meats the Tri tip was off the hook…thanks also to Stephen Burich and Stacy Wentland for your help…Thank you Dennis Tate and Likely Place Golf & RV Resort staff for hosting this event every year…Modoc Fish Game & Rec Commission/Modoc Outdoor Rec & Tourism for sponsoring…and to everyone else who helped out…would like to wish Matthew Laymanleary from Veterans Sportsman’s Association (Redding) a speedy recovery…hope he gets better soon…we missed you guys! Thanks to all the Veterans from Redding American Legion and Project Healing Waters who braved the cold and have continued to support our event every year…you guys are awesome!!
