It seems summer is upon us!! Good time for lighter dinners and free evenings to spend with family and catch up on chores!
This month for our Eat In-Take Out Dinner we have received a request! The date is June 17th from 4:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. We will be serving; Hot Dogs and Saur-Kraut, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans, applesauce and a cookie all for $12.00. If interested PLEASE call 814-932-3883 on or before June 15th!!
Come join us, a free night from cooking, doing dishes and it helps support the Civics!!!

May Day is right around the corner!! Sun Fun, grass cutting, planting vegetables and making beautiful flower gardens! BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!! When it isn't raining, remember that same rain is making the grass and flowers grow !!!

The IDEs of March are behind us now let the Spring begin!!! Nice warm weather great time to shake off the winter's dust and enjoy the outside world!!
We at the Civics have had a very busy winter!! Many rentals, Eat In Take Out Dinners and Fundraisers!! Now Spring clean up is upon us!! Very glad to have our amazing volunteers!!
Speaking of dinners, for the month of April we are having:

Kaiser roll and Butter

The dinner is on April 15th. Between 4:00 p. m. and. 6:00 p.m. and the cost is $12.00!!

Hello Homers Gap Members and Friends,
So happy to be writing this message today as the sun is out, it is warm just a glorious day!!
Lots going on at the Civics this month!!
March 18th is our monthly dinner as always the fee is $12.00. And we serve between 4:00 p. m. and 6:00 p. m. This is one of the most requested dinner we serve; MISSISSIPPI POT ROAST!!! Along with the meat there will be mashed potatoes ( gravy if wanted), mixed vegetables, a Kaiser roll and butter, jello with topping and a cookie!!! If interested PLEASE call 814-932-3883 on or BEFORE March 16th.
COME ONE COME ALL on MARCH 22 we are sponsoring a PADDLE BINGO!!! The last few years we have had so much fun with this party!!! Our LOCAL VENDORS are extremely generous with their donations as are so many members and friends!! Beautiful baskets are not just played in the bingo but wonderful gifts at the Chinese Auction!!!
The donation is $10.00 which includes ADMISSION, a paddle, a chance for the door prize and refreshments!!
PLEASE mark your calendar for OCTOBER 17th. This is the date of our Annual Horse Race!!! It has grown every year as the excitement!!! It is a really fun day and it helps support our BELOVED CIVICS!! Mark OCTOBER 17th for a FUN day out!!

Dear Homers Gap Members and Friends,
Phil, the Ground Hog gave us the news we expected today-six more weeks of winter!!! Considering the very cold days that is still good news!!! This is the weather I remember as a kid!!! Then the snow was a new way to PLAY!!! Now a days the snow is a reason to stay at home!!! Boy how things change!!!
Quiet at the Civics right now however thanks to our rental folks we are totally booked into March!!
Winter work being taken care of and many THANKS to Shawn Moyer for keeping our driveway and parking lot clear!!!

The holidays have gone by it is time to rest and get ready for the next events!!
Our New Year Eve Party was so much fun!! As always Steve Willett ( That DJ GUY) was AWESOME!! The music, Photo Booth, food-food-food and crafts for the kids . Longest paper chain I ever saw were some of the highlights.. we got to see the BALL DROP on Steve's TV which topped off the entire night!! Thanks everyone who attended and ESPECIALLY our MEMBERS who time after time keep up with the work of these events!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We are looking forward to a WONDERFUL 2026!! Starting off with January's Eat In-Take Out Dinner.

The end of 2025 will soon be upon us. As always we are having our New Year Eve Party!! It starts at 6:00 p. m. Steve Willett is our music entertainment along with his Photo Booth!!!
I just want to say to everyone, THANK YOU for supporting the Civics this year!!! We have had our UPS and DOWNS but we survived and hoping for a wonderful 2026!!!
PLEASE take time to be kind to a neighbor, friend or even someone you don't know!!! You never know what they are going through!!! A SMILE can light up the world!!!
Say a little prayer for folks who are suffering this season and wish them health and happiness!!!

Winter holiday season is upon us!! We had our annual Christmas Party on November 30th and it was wonderful!!! Smiles and laughter everywhere. Thank you to all of our Civics Volunteers and guests for making a good day a great day!!
This month we are providing our Christmas Give Back Dinner!!! The date is December 17th between 4:00 p. m. And 6:00 p. m. , the fee is $6.00. PLEASE call 814-932-3883 on or before December 15th to place orders!!!
