LAST DAY OF SUMMER 🍉☀️🍓 We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day, however we are SO excited to welcome students back into our newly refreshed front entrance!! Take a look at these before and afters ✨ The updates included:
- Brightening the base color of the front hallway
- Brighter colors added to the nooks
- Hand-painted murals in the entrance
- Brand new furniture in the lobby area
- Refresh of the lost & found table
- Brightened bulletin board
- Weeding/mulching the landscaping outside
Not to mention financial support for the refresh of our library that now looks like a completely new space!! None of this would have been possible without the donations from the Ram Run last year, so from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to those who helped support us!! It means the world that we could immediately start making improvements because of the success of the run.
With all that said, today we’re also going to do a little bit of bragging about how amazing the Centennial PTA is (yes, that's us🤣) But the hard work this group put in deserves to be recognized! This group of parents dedicated their weekends, evenings and every ounce of free time that they could to go into the school and brighten the hallways and hand paint the murals so that these projects could be completed before back to school night and for our students to start the new year!
Doing all of this took a lot of planning, collaboration and logistics to get everything figured out from coordinating with school officials to get it approved, to figuring out how to balance a projector on a ladder so that the mural could be traced before painting 😅 We are so excited to present to you the new hallway for Centennial and hope that you enjoy what this project will bring to our students environment. All of this would not have been possible without Sherwin-Williams in Altoona. They heavily discounted the paint, supplies and even donated A LOT of the gallons of paint completely free for us to get this project done! This truly allowed us to complete the refresh in the most cost effective way, and now... we're ready to take on the rest of the school 💪 who's with us?!
