No, but seriously, we are OVERWHELMED. If you reach out to us about intakes, we will place you on a waitlistābut we cannot guarantee how long that waitlist will be. Every time we turn around, there is a litter of kittens or a sick cat or a stray that needs to be surrendered, and we do not have infinite space or money. Please understand, we want to help every single cat, but saying āyesā to every intake request would risk overpopulation. This, in turn, would mean sick cats, an overwhelmed staff, and would leave our current cat population lacking in the care that they deserve.
When we say that we cannot take in your surrender at this moment, it is because we are dealing with 50-60 cats in-house that take up our available funding and space. We take pride in having a healthy, happy cat populationābut knowing when we are at our limit is a necessity to maintain this standard of care.
We will reach out to you if youāre on our waitlist as soon as space and funding are available. In the meantime, please donate or reach out about fostering. Donations can be made through Venmo () or PayPal (), or cash and checks can be mailed to 1101 13th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601.
In the meantime, you can also support us by visiting us during open hours, which we have tonight from 4-7pm! Your admission cost goes directly towards helping our CC babies. š¤
