We would like to extend our deepest condolences after the loss of one of our founding Board Members, Roger Mahnke. Roger was instrumental in the development of a scholarship program dedicated to graduating SEP seniors. He graciously served as our DFS chairperson for 16 years. Roger was able to join us last May at our awards night as we celebrated 25 years. We will continue to honor the legacy as we serve the graduating seniors of Southeast Polk. 🤍

Roger D. Mahnke, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026 at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona, Iowa. He was born on November 22, 1932 in Kingsley, Iowa on his grandparents’ farm to Lloyd and Lola Mahnke. He graduated from Grand Meadows High School in Washta, Iowa in 1950. He then attended....

Deadline to complete your acceptance process to receive your Scholarship $$$ is JULY 15!!!!!

There is a slip in your Scholarship packet explaining the necessary steps. There are numerous students who have not completed acceptance. Failure to do so forfeits your award. DON'T MISS IT!!!
