This session will touch on some of the insights about a leader’s skills as they pertain to the workplace. How can a leader’s attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors contribute to whether or not an employee will be an "engaged asset" or a "disengaged cost to the organization?" How can we get our employees, our most value asset, more fully participating when there are numerous stimuli competing every day against the organization’s objectives? Learn some awareness, alignment, and finally some actions you can take to make engagement a forward positive motion for your teams.

Speaker Biography:

Aaron V. Nygren is President of Nygren Training Solutions, a management training and consulting company now in its 18th year. Mr. Nygren is passionate about partnering with organizations to develop leadership to provide to them practical training and coaching to meet the demands of the job and lead well the ever changing and diverse workforce. He has delivered intensive individual and group programs in public government and in privately owned settings for both for-profit and not-for-profit agencies. Today NTS has clients spanning the continental United States. He has earned degrees from Harrisburg Area Community College, The Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife Ellen thrive in Indiana, Pennsylvania with their family.

Attorney Andrews has 40 years of experience in Employment Law.
Attorney Andrews currently serves as In-House Counsel for Juniata College, where he also teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution and Human Resource Management.

In addition, Attorney Andrews conducts a law practice, where he represents Private Employers, including such regional Employers as Appvion, Roaring Spring Blank Book, Alpha Assembly Solutions, Curry Supply, Ameriserv Financial, North American Hoganas, G.M. McCrossin, Sargent’s Court Reporting, WorkLink Staffing, and Goodwill Industries of the Southern Alleghenies.

He is licensed before the United States Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Federal Districts Courts of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Attorney Andrews also serves as a Mediator for the Blair County Court of Common Pleas for Civil Trials, and served as a Hearing Judge for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board for eight years.

Mr. Wagner is a founding partner with the Law Firm of Wagner & Finn Attorneys At Law, P.C. He served as an Adjunct Professor of Human Resource Management at the Saint Francis University Graduate School of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management. For approximately 20 years Mr. Wagner taught employment law, employment discrimination law, as well as workers compensation. Mr. Wagner has served as a Hearing Committee Chairman for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He is former member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Currently, he is a member of the Workers Compensation and Employment Law Sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Mr. Wagner concentrates his practice in workers compensation and employment law. Mr. Wagner has been selected every year from 2006 through 2022 as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®

Mr. Wagner is Past President of the Board of Directors for the Blair Regional YMCA. Currently he serves as Secretary for the Blair Regional YMCA Board. He is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Altoona-Sunrise, where he is a two-time past President and a current Board member. Mr. Wagner currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Southern Alleghenies Management Group. Previously, he was a Board member of the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society. He currently serves the shelter as their Pro Bono Solicitor. Mr. Wagner resides with his wife, Chrissey, in Hollidaysburg, PA.
