CANINE CARDIO OUTING 🦴☺️

Buddy is a bit of a timid boy, but is also the sweetest soul, an absolute cuddle bug, and a Nylabone lover! He will need someone to work with him on building confidence! He likes to be right next to you and up in your lap in you’ll let him.

Buddy cried in the car on the drive from the shelter to the house. After about 10 minutes he relaxed and finally laid down on his blanket.

Once he got used to his surroundings in the back yard, he became very playful. He loved chewing on his Nylabone in the grass. His favorite thing to do though was cuddle up to me and get lots of affection!

Buddy wasn’t quite ready for a road walk today, but I took him on a few laps around the yard with a slip lead and he did a great job! When the neighbors started their lawn mower, Buddy decided he’d be safest as far away from them as humanly possibly, so he laid down in the mulch under a tree for a while.

Buddy is very friendly and loves people! Despite his timid nature, he ran right up to my parents and leaned his body into them for pets. He is a handsome boy with an incredibly soft coat. He also has the cutest paws that seem too big for his medium sized body. Buddy is a 4 year old lab mix who can live with kids, dogs & cats!!

This male dog was found 1 block from the East End little league field on E Crawford Ave and South Hagerty Street in Altoona.

It’s time!!! Harvey is officially on the market!

Harvey has been medically cleared for adoption! He is a 5 month old pit mix. He is crate trained and almost house trained. He is great with dogs. He walks well on a leash! He is in foster with cats, but is starting to annoy them. So he will need a cat that is used to dogs and an owner willing to train him to not bother that cat(s)! He can live with kids.

He is in a foster home, so if interested, please submit your app and we can set up a visit!

REMEMBER ME... HARVEST? Since you’re all my new friends, you can call me Harvey!
This was me when I came in last week… but I have had a transformation and JUST LOOK AT ME NOW!

I'm starting to heal day by day. I am getting ready to be available for adoption. I can't wait! Although, the caring people here at CPHS & my very kind foster family are taking wonderful care of me!

Animals like me are the reason they do fundraisers and raffles. All the proceeds allow them to continue to bring in & HELP dogs like me. I showed up after being attacked by another dog. I needed emergency surgery. I had/have a long road to recovery, but they weren't giving up on me. Thanks to your kindness in making a $10 donation for the Touchdown 4 Hounds raffle, they'll never have to! Did I tell you I'm only 5 months old?

Anyway, your $10 donation goes directly toward animals like me! AND in a shelter, $10 goes a long way!

Well, now that I'm feeling better, I wanted to say thank you and to mention I became a Steelers Fan! Whether you are or not, the Touchdown 4 Hounds 50-yard line raffle chances are only $10 each and YES, they were donated by a really nice gentleman who works within in the Steeler’s Franchise offices. They are his personal tickets! The Westin overnight stay was donated too! That means 100% of your $10 goes to help injured animals just like me!

Day 5️⃣ brought Ozzy a HOME!

Ozzy was adopted today by a wonderful couple who understands his need to be the only pet. They happily accepted him as their one and only!

This is "Stretchy Pants" now known as Millie. She is a sweet, loving girl. She and Aggie (Little Foot adopted Nov 24) are living their best lives.

BAILEY'S BRIGADE
Monday, October 19th, 5pm-6pm
Ages 3 & Up

Bailey's Brigade invites families to join a friendly "pack" where being kind to animals isn't ruff at all. Through a partnership with the Central PA Humane Society, we will welcome guest speakers, introduce children ages 3 - 12 to real animals and offer hands-on activities that teaches compassion, responsibility, and what it means to be a thoughtful pet owner or friend to animals.

It is a fun, welcoming way for kids to learn how small acts of kindness can make a big difference for animals in our community.

Day 5 of posting Ozzy until he gets adopted.

He rides well in the car. Staff and volunteers alike enjoy his company. He knows what a pup cup is. 😉 He loves squeaky toys, tennis balls and snacks.

He is 5 years old and cannot live with other animals. He is a Corgi mix and has a BBL after being groomed.
