⚾️☀️ 90 degrees, a concession stand, and a whole lot of smiles! ❤️

This morning, Joe McChurch, Pennie Graber Carroll,Jagger and Lori Slings volunteered in the concession stand for Kiwanis Miracle League on behalf of the Southeast Polk Kiwanis Club!

We were greeted with a cozy 90 degrees 😂, but that didn’t stop the fun! I even got to see a few of our Southeast Polk students out enjoying fall ball, which made my morning even better. 💙💛

There are only 4 more weekends of fall ball, and volunteers are ALWAYS needed! If you have a little time, come out, help out, and be part of something pretty special. ⚾️

Good people. Great kids. Lots of smiles. And maybe a little sweating in the concession stand! 😅❤️

Staples-Farmer is the founding Key Club faculty advisor for Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S. Now in her 13th year working with Key Club, she has built a culture of service, compassion, growth and leadership. Today, the Southeast Polk Kiwanis Club had the pleasure of welcoming Maggie Crabb and Amanda Eggers from Caring Hands for an inspiring lunch presentation.

They shared exciting news about the new HERD Program, a collaborative effort being developed with our local Police Departments, Sheriff's Office, City Council, and many dedicated organizations that support youth and families in our community.

It was encouraging to hear how so many people are coming together to make a positive difference in the lives of our young people. Partnerships like these remind us that when a community works together, incredible things happen.

We look forward to finding ways to support the HERD Program and the many wonderful services Caring Hands provides—whether through volunteering, donations, or lending a helping hand.

Together, we can build a stronger, kinder, and more hopeful community. 💙
