Gloria Gates Memorial Foundation Afterschool Program Gloria Gates Memorial Foundation After-school Program

The goal of the Foundation is to help kids succeed in school so that they will become responsible adults that are an asset to the community. We encourage children to dream big, and to understand that they can reach their goals if they work hard, develop integrity, and stay away from negative influences.

Last week, GGMF was able to take students on a fall field trip to Mitchell Farms. Students got to enjoy beautiful weather, a hayride through farm grounds and pumpkin patch, multiple activities throughout the farm, live animals, a barrel train ride, a corn maze, and ended the night with dinner and snacks provided by Mitchell Farms!

GGMF extends our sincere appreciation to the Karisma Dell Memorial Fund for organizing and providing a day full of learning and memories of fishing for the kids at the afterschool programs. GGMF was able to take 27 kids to Canoe Creek for fishing, fun, and food! The founders and volunteers of the Karisma Dell Foundation provided all the fishing rods, bait, sunglasses, fishing lessons, food, and an extra special gift at the end of the day for all kids in attendance. Also, thanks to the GGMF team members for helping to facilitate the day and board members who came to help out. The definition of community is a group of people who share common interests, values, a specific location, or a sense of identity. It takes a community to help keep GGMF going every year and we are eternally grateful for the community of people who continue to support the mission of GGMF!
