Iuzzolino Park Restoration Project

Iuzzolino Park Restoration Project We are a group of volunteers to help completely restore Iuzzolino Park and make it a safe, welcoming place for kids and families. We're working on it!

We are so excited for city and CBRC improvements. We now have an amazing playground piece and a merry-go-all. Our next improvement is for an ADA van parking space and sidewalks to connect the merry-go-all, pavilion, and playground. Overflow Church is donating concrete co****le boards and a charcoal grill. We are looking forward to more improvements as time goes on, especially to our basketball court. Because it's on a hill, it will take more money to engineer seating and accessibility items.

Our Story

This pocket park, located near 25th and Maple in Altoona, is in a prime location with many homes surrounding the play area. It is 2 blocks from Vet’s Field. However, there is no playground equipment for children to enjoy except for a basketball court that parallels Oak Avenue. We’re working to change this and bring in playground equipment for toddlers up to those who are young at heart. We know there are lots of people in the neighborhood who have fun here, and we want to make it welcoming for all!
