Operation Our Town's goal is to take back our neighborhoods from drugs and crime in Blair County.

Operation Our Town accepts donations from
businesses, civic and charitable organizations
as well as individuals, then use them to fund
programs shown to reduce both the supply
and demand for illegal drugs in Blair County through:
• Targeted law enforcement
and prosecution.
• Proven treatment programs
focused on reducing recidivism
(repeat offenses).
• Proven education aimed at
prevention of drug use.

The Northern Blair Roundtable of Operation Our Town will be hosting a drug abuse workshop at Tyrone Elks Lodge on Friday October 23, 2026.

Push Out the Pusher is a drug hotline that Blair County residents can report tips and information to anonymously regarding suspected drug activity.
Callers have the option of leaving a voicemail message or speaking with a live operator at the Blair County 911 Center. Tips are transmitted to the appropriate law enforcement jurisdiction for investigation.

Operation Our Town and The Altoona Mirror invite area students in 6th through 12th grade in Blair and surrounding counties who are 11 or older to enter an essay on the topic of:

“How can you be a positive influence to help your friends avoid drug use?”

The winner will be awarded $250 in gift cards to The Meadows Original Frozen Custard of Hollidaysburg! The Runner-up will receive a $100 Visa gift card provided by Imler's Poultry!
