This photo is not something found on the internet. This isn't altered in any way. THIS is a meal on one of our ships from one of our contacts. We won't disclose when or which ship. Yes, our sailors and marines get meals on board, but they can be basic and boring. This is why we send care packages! Ready to eat meals, protein bars, snacks, candy, poptarts, jerky, popcorn. Imagine your morale eating only this. Now imagine how you'd feel getting a box of your favorite snacks from home, with a card, and maybe fresh socks or shampoo. This is why we do what we do.

The local newspaper, the Altoona Mirror, is taking nominations for a local non-profit to receive a grant. These funds go a LONG way to supporting our cause.

Maybe you received a care package from us. Maybe you've always wanted to help but unsure how or financially unable. This is a GREAT way to help us with support!

Also be on the lookout for the Mirror's nominations for "Hometown Favorite" which would also help spread the word about what we do!

The Mirror is seeking nominations for its 2026 Season of Sharing recipient. Launched in 2005, Season of Sharing uses the reach of the local newspaper and altoonamirror.com, the expertise of the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation and residents’ generosity to benefit area nonprofits. Get ready for our annual Operation Sugar Drop! As we enter the Halloween season, please keep your leftover or unwanted candy and consider donating to CSC. The candy you didn't pass out enough of, the candy your kids don't like, the candy on clearance at the store - we will take it all!! Now that the weather has cooled, shipping chocolate is more possible. Still not guaranteed perfect on arrival.... In addition to the candy, we also Mail out blank holiday cards, giving our service members time to write and mail home cards to loved ones. Mail can sometimes take weeks, and in this way, we keep our military in touch with those they miss at home.

Be sure to check our website for other news! Life gets busy and social media sometimes takes a back seat. But packages are still going out! Photos are coming back too, but for security reasons, we will not be sharing them until the unit has returned State side.

If ever you feel like your small donation doesn't matter, or what we do doesn't make an impact to our service members on the front lines, please see the email below we recently received from one of our officers!!! We have started to put short survey/comment cards in every care package, so we can continue to improve!

On behalf of the entire Devil Brigade, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible support. Please accept my apologies for the delay in this response; we've been operating at a high tempo, and I haven't had the opportunity to write until now.

Your care packages have had a profound and positive impact on the morale of our paratroopers. It is no small feat to lift spirits in this environment, and the scale and thoughtfulness of your support speak volumes about your dedication to our service members. We are incredibly grateful.

While we are not yet able to send mail from our location, we hope to do so in the near future. In the meantime, I have provided our responses to your questionnaire below.

Feedback from Your Questionnaire:

How did you hear about the Civilian Supply Corps?
Through your website.
Were all items in your care package used by your unit?
Yes, every item was put to good use and greatly appreciated.
Were any items in the care package damaged?
No, everything arrived in perfect condition.
Feedback on specific items and future requests:
The box of Hot Cheeto/Doritos mini bags was a huge hit and by far the favorite. The snack mixes and footballs were also extremely popular. We have received several requests for protein shakes or protein powder, as those items are not available here.

Thank you again for your unwavering support. It means the world to us.
