Section 4 of 10 that we'll be rehabilitating on October 17th and 18th at the Reciprocity Food Forest. This Dogwood Section is getting a dense planting of Cutleaf Coneflower and Ironweed, plus Button Bush, Winterberry, and Swamp Rose going in near the big rock. About 4 volunteers needed. Section 3 of 10 that we'll be rehabilitating on October 17th and 18th at the Reciprocity Food Forest. Every plant going into the Medicine Section has a traditional medicinal use: New Jersey Tea and Blue Sage on the drier high ground, Skullcap, Sweetgrass, Ironweed, and Echinacea in the lower, wetter half. Section 2 of 10 that we'll be rehabilitating on October 17th and 18th at the Reciprocity Food Forest. This bed near our dogwood tree is getting a full refresh: Blue Flag Iris, Great Blue Lobelia, Cardinal Flower, Turtlehead, New England Aster, and a stand of Cup Plant (a native sunflower relative that can top 8 feet!). There's a lot of invasive mugwort that needs to be dug out first, this section will require some muscle. About 4 volunteers (that don't skip leg day) are needed.
