Dance til the AM

I had hoped to get this out this summer, but early Fall will have to do! Volume 3 of Mixtacy in 60 takes us back to another hot summer of hits, one of my favorites- exactly 35 years ago to Summer 1991. Dance hits were also big on the charts that summer so you'll hear Dance hits with the Pop! If a song was one of the official Billboard Songs of The Summer of 1991, you'll see a "BBSOS" and its ranking next to the song title. Over 30 songs in less than an hour, enjoy the trip!

If you enjoyed Part 1, I think you're going to love the 2nd half even more! I'm especially proud of these later hours, as they're full of unexpectedness and wickedly fun remixes of different styles and genres, with brand-new mixes from artists like Kansas and Jim Croce, and yacht rock hits keep coming too (Ambrosia, Ace, Kenny Loggins are a few). As the night went later, I slipped in some especially trippy mixes from Three Dog Night, the Beatles (several songs!), The Police and even Chuck Berry! More disco and rock favorites are in here too! I think this entire show fully captured the spirit of the 70s in all of its musical tastes and colors, and Part 2 magnifies them even more!

So fun and popular the first time, it's back again and will likely be another annual decades special in the Saturday Night Mixtacy universe- the 2nd Annual 70s Spectacular! All the pop, rock, disco and yacht rock you can handle, most of it as premiere mixes and as with all Mixtacy shows and decade specials, COMPLETELY different from the 1st one. And this one is even bigger than last time- over 8 hours of 70s (and a few sprinkled in from earlier than that) for the ultimate retro dance party. You'll also hear a healthy dose of brand-new yacht rock mixes throughout along with other songs you wouldn't expect to hear in a mix, which is the most fun part for me of the 70s Spectacular!

Part 2 of the Summer Sendoff '26 MEGASHOW includes another 3 1/2 hours of summery vibes, hits of the summer and of the past, premiere mixes, some poolside-style mixes, and a high-NRG hour that contains an EXTENDED hi-BPM finale where we ride at over 140BPM for almost an hour (much of it at 160BPM) and most of it full of premiere mixes that include 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and current!

Listen LONG, heart, share and repost to help the show continue to reach ever-higher heights on the Mixcloud charts, which also helps expose the show to others! Because of passionate listeners like you, Part 1 reached #6 on the Remixes and #7 on Dance-Pop GLOBAL charts, and to crack the Top 40 on 3 other charts, including the highly-contested Pop chart!

Every year, we toast the best season of the year and send it off in the best way possible with a megashow looking back at the biggest hits of the summer, past summer hits, and summery vibes throughout, many as premiere mixes! Mixtacy always looks forward too: new songs from Miley Cyrus, Pitbull/Jason Derulo, and Ariana Grande to name a few! You'll also hear several musical tributes to Dolly Parton, a shining example of a global role model and inspiration for so many. We also honor Bonnie Tyler's career one more time with a brand-new exclusive remix of her biggest hit, Total Eclipse Of The Heart!

This supersized late-summer show felt like it had even more songs with summery vibes than Mixtacy summer shows already have. The backspins tended to be from the 90s, though you'll hear a few from the 00s, 80s and a yacht rock premiere mix from the 70s. Enjoy this extra-long last regular show before the Summer Sendoff MEGASHOW on Sat Sept 5th!

In just the first 36 hours, your listening, hearting, sharing and reposting have elevated this show to nearly the Top 10 on two charts and (and in the two hours after the below screenshot was taken, it's already cracked Top 30 on the highly-competitive Pop and EDM charts!) These Mixcloud chart performances have become normal for every Saturday Night Mixtacy over the last several years and that's because of all of YOU, so thank you! I never take this chart success or your support for granted! This super-sized Saturday Night Mixtacy is jam-packed! M.J. continues to flood the charts so you get 4 mixes from him (3 as premieres), Madonna's Confessions II continues to soar (incl. a mix of a classic she performed at the World Cup), and we also pay tribute to two artists we lost since the last show, Bonnie Tyler and Lauren Bennett, who you may not recall but you certainly know some of her work. The downtempo section in hour 3 includes fun transitions w/ BTS's Swim, a 70s summer classic, Wilson Phillips, Tinashe, Selena Gomez, big summertime hits of the past from T-Pain (Bartender) and Nicole (Make It Hot).
