This Purple Thursday, we stand with survivors of domestic violence and the children and families impacted by it. At the Center for Child Justice, we believe every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and protected.

Today and every day, let's choose to be a community that listens, believes, and stands beside those who need us.

Most boys know when something is wrong.

The challenge isn't recognizing it. The challenge is finding the courage to say something when speaking up could mean losing friends, getting mocked, or becoming the next target.

The words we practice before a moment happens are often the words we use when it matters most.

✅ "Bro, stop. That's messed up."
✅ "Don't send that again."
✅ "Send the address."
✅ "I'm getting a safe adult."
✅ "Are you okay?"

These are more than messages. They are intervention. They are leadership. They are protection.

Talk with your sons, nephews, brothers, athletes, and students about these responses before they need them. Ask them which one would be the hardest to send and why.

Because preventing harm is not always about having all the right answers.
Sometimes it starts with having the right words.

When domestic violence happens in a home, children are impacted too.

The digital world is changing fast, and keeping up can feel overwhelming. Join us for a free NetSmartz Internet Safety for Caregivers presentation and learn practical ways to help keep your children safer online.

We'll discuss:
✅ How to respond if your child receives a sexual request online
✅ What to do if they encounter upsetting or inappropriate content
✅ What information is safe to share
✅ Who they can turn to for help
✅ Why kindness and respect matter in online spaces
