Polk County 4-H and FFA Fair Association The Polk County 4-H & FFA Fair Association hosts the Polk County Fair every July at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.

Over 600 Polk County youth participate in projects ranging from astronomy to zoology and just have fun at our Fair. The Polk County 4-H and FFA Fair Assn is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the youth involved in 4-H and FFA programs in Polk County , Iowa. The Fair board is comprised of 24 adult board members and 4 youth representatives from 4-H and FFA organizations residing

in Polk County, Iowa. Polk County is divided into four districts. There are 3 board members for each district and 12 at large positions. Ex-officio members of the board are Iowa State University County Extension Director, ISU County Youth Coordinators, and Advisors from Bondurant-Farrar FFA, Des Moines FFA, Dowling Catholic FFA, North Polk FFA, and Southeast Polk FFA. The Polk County Fair Board meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Polk County Extension Office. July and August meeting dates are adjusted due to conflicting Fair dates.
