As the cofounder of Blair Type 1 Diabetes Foundation, I would like to thank everyone for your help and support over the last nine years. Together we have accomplished great things! BT1DF has donated over $204,000 to benefit t1d cure based research, sent 2 kiddos to diabetes camp and awarded 7 college scholarships! This has been an incredible experience and I have met so many amazing people. After much consideration, mixed emotions and a lot of prayer, I have decided to retire at the end of this year and close the foundation. One last donation will be made to Dr. Gittes’ lab at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh benefiting his type 1 diabetes cure based research.
My very best to all of you! Keep fighting for a cure! I know we all look forward to the day our warriors can say they “used to have type 1 diabetes “! 💙
