Hello Everyone!

Donnie and Ryan went to the city council meeting yesterday and we would like to work on a public disclosure statement on our plans and activities regarding CatCo as a whole and our plans for the Ursuline Convent as well as the Milton Space.

We received feedback about our transparency and we would like to hear any questions, comments, and concerns so CatCo can make a meaningful impact to amend these issues of transparency and communication.

Updated dates and information for our Guided Hikes!

All hikes will be on the listed dates on the first image, and our next hike (a week from today!) will be at John M Olin Nature Preserve in Godfrey, IL!

John M Olin Nature Preserve
2213 S Levis Ln, Godfrey, IL 62035

Fox Trail - Orange Loop 1 Mile Trail

Description of Trail from Nature institute website.

"This easy trail is level with mostly flat terrain. The
highlights include all the features of Frog Trail, but you will
also get to see successional forest habitat. You can take a
detour to see a formerly used nesting site of bald eagles.
Use your track knowledge to find out what animals are
sharing the trail with you like deer and raccoons."

Expected hiking duration: Approximately 1 Hour

Suggested Equipment and Supplies: Water source, bug repellent, umbrella/ raingear.

Weather and Safety Conditions

As of 5/23/2026 Weather is forecast for rain with temperatures topping out at 79 Degrees.

Portions of this trail are paved however there are still risks of mud and slipping throughout the entirety of Fox Trail. Non-Slip footwear such as boots are recommended if rain is present. Dressing in layers with a rain jacket are also recommended.

Just a reminder, tomorrow is the first guided hike by Ryan Warren

Meeting time is 8 am at the Market at Milton (Milton Schoolhouse) to travel to the location together.

These hikes will be educational, comfortably paced, and community driven!
Family friendly, we will update every week with a flyer like the attached one with the trail conditions, weather, and other important details for that week's hike here on our Facebook!
