When we say Community at JAC we mean ERRYBODY. That means YOU, too.

Please join us next Saturday night, June 6th from 6-8PM for our All Together Now Community Art Night at Jacoby. We'll be supporting Metro Trans Umbrella Group with donations of non-perishable good items, toiletries (most especially hair/skin products for POC) or clothing. Bring your donation or a cash pay-what-you-can donation for JAC and we'll supply you with mixed media art supplies, snacks and non-alcoholic bevs, and of course the coolest vibez in town!

Our completed artwork will be used to decorate the Jacoby Arts Center Playground at Mississippi Earthtones Festival in September! Please RSVP so we know how many snacks to buy: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/all-together-now-community-art-night

We are so sad to tell you that due to vandalism, our Little Free Art Library is no longer available for use at Olin Park on State Street. πŸ₯Ί We have removed the library to protect the children playing at the park from the debris. If you'd like to make a Little Free Art Library donation you can visit the other locations: Inside the Milton Schoolhouse and City Hall, outside of The Boys & Girls Club of Alton, and just outside our door at 208 State Street.

We'll be open from 6:30-9PM every Thursday in June and July to participate in Night Market on Broadway! Enjoy the Downtown District on these summer evenings with live music, artisan craft vendors, beverages and delicious food from surrounding businesses, and ART from Jacoby Arts Center and Mooneyham Art.

Each week we'll be sponsoring a special event, plus *NEW THIS YEAR* we'll also be hosting artisan tents outside of our building on State Street!

Our first week, June 4th, join us for a free art activity we'll eventually use to decorate the Jacoby playground at the Mississippi Earthtones Festival! Then pop over to the Clay Studio where our very own Chris Carson will enthrall you with wheel throwing demos and happily answer questions about the Clay Program at JAC. These activities are FREE and open to EVERYONE! See you soon!

Hey students! Did you recently graduate from High School or College and have a particular love of ceramics but no longer have access to your studio for the summer? Come create at Jacoby's Clay Studio! We offer classes, open studio time, and a clay membership program.

Need more skill development? Join us for Wheel Throwing in June or July! We offer three hour classes that run for four weeks for only $165. Or register for one of our *new* hand building or wheel workshops. Work on your technique while creating something fun to take home with you.

Ready to create on your own? Open Studio is from 6-9PM every Thursday all summer long. No instruction during these times, but Studio Coordinator Chris Carson is on hand during these hours for suggestions, trouble shooting, or to idea bounce with you!

Need more? Join the Jacoby Studio Members program for the summer! These are month-to-month so perfect for short term commitments and the cost is only $175 monthly for 24/7 access (cost of clay and glaze/fire is additional). All studio members must be approved by our Clay Studio Coordinator before beginning. Reach out to Chris Carson at [email protected] for more information or to schedule a tour!

We are SO EXCITED to see our Puppy Friends again this year at the Alton Main Street Pup Crawl (That's A Pub Crawl + Dogs) on May 30th! This is always one of our favorite events all year. How does it work? Doggies and their humans should grab a $10 ticket at any participating locations prior to the crawl or on the day of at the Alton Dog Park between 12-5PM. You'll receive a bandana for you and a passport for your human. Then visit any of the 22 participating locations for LOTS of fun! Drink and food specials, treats for both dogs and humans, and LOTS of art at this year's stops. Don't have any puppy breath in your life? TWO different locations will have adopt-a-thons happening.

We hope you'll stop by Jacoby between 12-5PM while you're out crawling! Our Education and Outreach Committee has been hard at work crafting adorable props for our photo booth. πŸΆπŸΎπŸ“Έ
