This week, Post 1308 Commander and former Illinois VFW State Commander Dave Stout received a helping hand from Instructor Jason Thompson’s (JT) students at Southwestern Illinois College CEJA program. This was a very hard-working group of young men and women who showed their appreciation for the veteran community by helping one of our own. Such a great example for their generation.
The students replaced Dave’s old, dilapidated front deck, which had become unsafe and unusable over time.
Thanks to their hard work and generosity, Dave and his wife, Mona, now have a beautiful new front porch where they can relax, enjoy the outdoors, Thank you for the hard work by the students and for making a meaningful difference in the life of a local veteran and in their community. Thank you Students you are one in 1 million.🇺🇸
