Flag Day & Flag Retirement Ceremony —

Join us this Flag Day as we honor our nation’s flag with dignity and respect. The day begins with short opening remarks at 10:00 AM, followed by a Joint Flag Retirement Ceremony led by Riverbend Patriots, VFW Post 1308, Scouts Troop 1, and community volunteers.

If you have a worn or unserviceable American flag:

You may bring it the day of the ceremony if you’d like to participate.

Or you can drop it off today until 4:30 PM at:

Alton VFW Post 1308

Scouts Troop 1 (Alton)

Riverbend Patriots Office

To help our volunteers prepare, please ensure your flag is retirement‑ready:

Folded in a traditional triangle, or

Cut into its proper sections and ready for burial.

If you need help folding your flag, volunteers and Scouts will be available on site.

This is a meaningful, family‑friendly event — a chance to reflect on what our flag represents and take part in a tradition that honors those values.

Huge shout out to Lance A. DeMondand Michelle Greenwoodfrom Print Media Corporation on six long hard busy years. I’ve seen this company build since day one and they have done an amazing job. They also are huge supporters in their community and are always lending a helping hand in anyway they can. Every time the Riverbend Patriots needs help with literally anything. They’re always stepping up to the plate from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you guys do and keep building your empire.

Six years ago, we took a chance on an idea.

No guarantees. No roadmap. Just a belief that if we worked hard, treated people right, and stayed committed to delivering great work, something special could be built.

Today, we’re celebrating 6 years of Print Media Corporation.

What started as a vision has become thousands of projects, countless late nights, plenty of lessons learned, and relationships that mean more to us than any number on a balance sheet.

We’ve watched clients become friends. Vendors become partners. Team members become family.

There were moments that tested us, moments that pushed us, and moments that reminded us exactly why we started. Through every challenge and every win, one thing has remained constant: the people who believed in us.

To our employees, clients, vendors, friends, family, and community... THANK YOU for being part of this journey. Every order, referral, recommendation, project, and conversation has helped shape who we are today.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

Today, we came together across the Riverbend not for celebration, but for remembrance. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the reason we march, gather, and stand united in gratitude.

This year’s presentation carried a simple theme: Remember and Honor.
We displayed our Battle Cross — the boots, rifle, and helmet symbolizing a fallen service member’s final tribute. We were honored to include the Cpl. Belchik Memorial Bike, hosted by Brian Belchik and his Gold Star Family, along with our Remember and Honor Float thanks to Riverbend Axe & Games.

And yes — Pikachu made a surprise appearance for the kids, which may have been the highlight of the parade.

To everyone who spent part of your day with us — placing flags at Alton VFW Post 1308, marching with us in the parade, or attending the Café USA Ceremony at the Wood River Walmart — thank you. Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Alton High School Auditorium
Description: Bring a flag needing retirement and receive a new one. Learn proper flag etiquette, care, and handling from the next generation of leaders. Flyer attached for more information.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Parade — May 25
Time: Morning parade (lineup details coming soon)
Location: Downtown Alton
Description: Walk or ride with us as we honor the men and women who gave everything for our nation. Bring your flags, wear your RP shirts, and stand tall with your community. Our Battle Cross will lead the way in remembrance.

Time: Ride begins in the morning (see flyer for specifics)
Location: Starts in Granite City → Ends at the National Memorial of Military Ascent, Grafton
Description: Support the Band of Brothers MC as they host their inaugural D‑Day Ride. See the attached flyer for more details.

Description: Join us for a respectful and proper retirement of worn or damaged American flags.
*We ask that you bring your flags folded and ready for retirement.
If you need help folding your flag, we will gladly assist and teach you.
*The VFW often has new American flags available for purchase for anyone wishing to replace their retired flag.
