I wish I could wish Alto a Happy Anniversary but doesn’t seem appropriate.
It was one year ago that Alto was hit with not one but 2 Tornadoes and our lives were forever changed.
Many suffered loss but at the same so many have powerful testimonies of Gods miraculous protection and provision.
I want to express my gratitude for those who gave selflessly of their time, energy and money!
I want to personally thank the members of The River Church for your willingness to serve and Ann Miller Henley for all the work you did in helping to meet and direct resources to those in need.
I truly believe that Alto is a city of new Beginnings!

This will probably be my last post on this sight. It has been a honor for Ann Miller Henley, myself and The River church to be a small part in rebuilding our City of Alto. Thank you to all the donors for your contributions to our fund. A special thanks to Steve Cox at SCE and Ken Richardson at Richardson Dozer Service. Thank you to Gary and Joni Hugghins Hager for use of your equipment and staff in the cleanup of Alto. We weren’t able to do everything we wanted too but I am amazed at how much we could accomplish together. There was however one loss during the height of the turmoil that we could not repair and that was the passing of one of our dedicated police officers Keith Radcliff. Today we were able to honor his memory with a sizable contribution to his wife Misty and family. We have taken the responsibility to distribute funds very seriously and feel like our lord Jesus would have us be a blessing to this beautiful family. Thank you again for trusting Ann, myself and The River Church to administer this Fund. Thank you to all the other funds that helped rebuild our little City. The Lord Bless.

I know it’s been a few weeks since we posted the goings on at The River Relief Fund. Things seem to be slowing down quite a bit, but we still have a lot of loose ends we’re trying to wrap up.
Several handicap ramps are finished with a couple more to go. I believe all the power poles and electrical issues are finished. We’ve been skirting mobile homes and have 3 more to finish that project. We had a severely damaged home torn down last week thanks to Gary and Joni Hugghins Hager and when weather permits it will get burned and a new one bedroom mobile home will be installed. That will wrap up the home replacements. It’s been a long 3 months for Ann Miller Henley and myself. I owe her so much as she became a contractor and purchasing agent and sometimes a counselor. We want to thank all of you who gave generously of your money and time, without you we could not have replaced 22 homes with nice quality mobile homes, replaced over 30 roofs with all brand new shingles. We’ve leveled homes, replaced Sheetrock on walls and ceilings, fixed septic tanks, ran multiple water and gas lines and the list goes on and on. Again thank all of you who gave. Sorry we couldn’t meet every need but I know God orchestrated the giving and the spending of over $560,000.00 to rebuild our city. Praise the Lord for all He has done!

I know it’s been a couple weeks since we posted recent goings-on.
However work is continuing with a couple more homes installed and several more roofs replaced. We were also able to help several with Sheetrock replacement in some ceilings.
We have installed more electrical services and plumbing work is continuing.
While we can’t meet every need I am amazed at your generosity to enable so much to be done.
We have 2 more houses to install this week and 3 more roofs to replace.
So again thank you to all of you who gave and to the special contractors who helped our money go further. Steve Cox Ken Richardson, Ballew plumbing and Catalina Rodriguez and Eddie Martin for your help!
