BIG NIGHT: Last night was the biggest night of bird migration in New York State in 2026 as well over 10,000,000 birds took flight and crossed the state. They flew at an altitude of around 2,000 feet and with the help of a solid tailwind, traveled around 50 mph in a NNE direction. Not only is it wild to think about, it's wild we can track this kind of thing!

OTTERS! The lake is a bit wilder in November. We see them fishing, playing and swimming every day this time of year, but it’s impossible to get a good picture in the water. Thank you Nick Belokopitsky for getting this video of them on our dock! 🦦🦦🦦
