Scripture Sunday!

We may not always understand where God is leading us or what He is doing in the season we’re walking through. There are times when the next step feels uncertain and the path ahead isn’t clear.

But our faith doesn’t depend on having all the answers. We can trust that God sees what we cannot, knows what lies ahead, and is faithful to guide us as we continue to seek Him.

This week, may we choose to trust His direction, even when we can’t yet see where the road leads.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of celebrating a Patriot who completed the full nine-month residential program at the National Center for Healthy Veterans.

At his graduation, he shared a few words about his journey, what this place has meant to him, and the difference these nine months have made in his life.
We’re incredibly grateful to have walked alongside him through each trimester and honored to celebrate this next chapter.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more from our recent graduations as we celebrate Patriots completing individual trimesters and the full program.

It’s FAQ Friday!

What does “Dignified Work” mean?

At NCHV, we believe meaningful work is an important part of building a healthy and purposeful life. Throughout the week, Patriots have opportunities to work with their hands, contribute to life at Valor Farm, learn new skills, and experience the satisfaction that comes from a job well done.

Dignified Work is about more than completing a task. It helps build responsibility, confidence, teamwork, self esteem, and purpose while giving Patriots an opportunity to contribute to the community around them.

Have a question about NCHV or our program? Leave it in the comments!

We can’t wait to gather together to celebrate the dedication of our new barn, the return of our equine-assisted services program to full capacity, and this incredible milestone in the restoration of Valor Farm.

Make a day of it at Valor Farm!

Join us Saturday, September 12, for a special afternoon with MSG (Ret.) Christopher Spence, one of the U.S. Army Special Forces “Horse Soldiers” whose mission in Afghanistan following the September 11 attacks became the story behind 12 Strong and Horse Soldiers.

Christopher will share his firsthand experience beginning at 1:00 PM in the Spirit of Virginia Arena. The event is FREE and open to the public, and no registration is required. He will also be available to sign his viral Afghanistan horseback photo for attendees.

Want to join us earlier? Our September Volunteer Day begins at 9:00 AM! Come serve alongside us that morning, stay for lunch together, and then hear Christopher speak at 1:00 PM.

If you'd like to participate in Volunteer Day and lunch, please email [email protected] so we can plan accordingly.

Otherwise, simply join us at 1:00 PM for the program. We hope to see you at Valor Farm!

Due to the extreme heat, we are unfortunately cancelling campfire and open arena this week.

While we're disappointed not to gather around the campfire this month, the safety of our Patriots, volunteers, guests, staff, and horses comes first.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on October 1st.

We'll see you next month at Valor Farm!

Praise the Lord!

Last week, we had the incredible privilege of celebrating baptisms right here in the river at Valor Farm. What a beautiful reminder of the new life, hope, and transformation found in Christ.

We are so grateful to walk alongside our Patriots as they continue growing in faith and taking steps forward in their journey.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

The National Center for Healthy Veterans (NCHV) is pleased to announce that Rob Altman from Frisco, Texas, has been elected to the NCHV Board of Directors. Mr. Altman served as both enlisted man and officer in the military, as an executive in the financial services industry, as a board member for other profit and not-for-profit organizations, as a candidate for elected office in Texas, and as a continuous advocate for Veteran causes. He will be a valuable addition to the important oversight role of the NCHV Board.

Scripture Sunday!

Sometimes progress begins simply by trusting God enough to keep moving forward.
Even in seasons that feel uncertain or overwhelming, He hears us, meets us where we are, and provides a firm foundation beneath our feet.

We are grateful for the reminder that where we have been does not have to determine where we are going. Through Him, there is always hope for a new path forward.
