Women Suffrage Month is August, and we want to celebrate the many achievements and activists that made voting today what it is. ✨
Without these women pushing for our voice in government, women wouldn’t have a say in government. ❗️
🌸 Susan B. Anthony & Elizabeth Cady Stanton co founded the National Women Suffrage Association and spent years working towards getting women their vote.
🌸 Ida B. Wells fought for equality and women voting rights. Wells was one of the earlier leaders for the civil rights movement.
🌸 Alice Paul led many military protests and was one of the prominent leaders of the women’s suffrage movement.
🌸 Gertrude Simmons Bonin was a major advocate for women’s suffrage, but also pushed that Native Americans should also have a voice in government as well.
Lets spend the last week of August celebrating these incredible women for their achievements. As well, they gave us an opportunity, so let’s take advantage of it. If you can vote then VOTE.
