Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for most of the state of Florida. Walking Together in faith, hope and love. We must be one in Christ!

Faith in Jesus, Hope in the second coming and sharing the love of God. Walking together is God’s plan to encourage each other as we share the urgent message of His Second Coming. It is this oneness that will get us through to the end. As we encourage each other, accept each other, and love each other, our differences will lessen, and our characters will be perfected to fit us for place in the kingdom above.

The Seventh Day Is the Day of the Lord

✅ The Sabbath began in Eden, before sin, before Sinai, and before there was a Jewish nation, making it God’s original gift to the human family. Genesis 2:1–3; Nehemiah 9:13–14; Mark 2:27

✅ The seventh day is the Creator’s memorial, calling every generation to remember that worship belongs to the One who made heaven and earth. Exodus 20:8–11; Psalm 95:6–7; Revelation 4:11

✅ The Sabbath stands inside God’s Ten Commandments, showing that it is not merely ceremonial tradition but part of His enduring moral law. Deuteronomy 4:13; Psalm 111:7–8; Matthew 5:17–18

✅ Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath; He restored its beauty by revealing it as a day for worship, mercy, healing, and life. Luke 4:16; Matthew 12:11–12; John 5:8–9

✅ Because Jesus declared Himself Lord of the Sabbath, the Lord’s Day is the day over which Christ specifically claimed lordship. Matthew 12:8; Luke 6:5; Revelation 1:10

✅ The Sabbath is a sign that God does not only create His people, but also sanctifies them and makes them holy through His power. Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23

✅ The Sabbath is a weekly celebration of redemption, reminding believers that salvation rests on God’s deliverance, not human striving. Deuteronomy 5:12–15; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 4:9–10

✅ The Sabbath is a delight, not a burden, inviting God’s people to step away from self-interest and enter holy joy with Him. Isaiah 58:13–14; Psalm 92:1–2; 1 John 5:3

✅ The Sabbath reaches beyond ethnicity, culture, and history, gathering foreigners, servants, families, and all nations into worship before God. Isaiah 56:6–7; Exodus 23:12; Acts 13:44

✅ In the final message to the world, the Sabbath calls humanity back to worship the Creator before the return of Jesus. Revelation 14:6–7; Revelation 12:17; Isaiah 66:22–23
