Join union members from across Central Florida for the Central Florida AFL-CIO Labor Day Picnic on September 7!

The day will include a solidarity canvass beginning at 10:00 AM and a BBQ at 3:00 PM at the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association in Orlando.

It’s a chance to connect with fellow union members, celebrate the labor movement, and recognize the people who fought for the workplace rights and protections we benefit from today.

Educators may be asked to voluntarily assist with work related to a colleague’s absence, but they should not be directed or required to take on those additional responsibilities. Participation must be voluntary, and choosing to say no should not result in pressure, retaliation, or negative consequences from administration.

🗳️ TODAY IS ELECTION DAY!

The UniServ PAC and Seminole Education Association have endorsed Kristine Kraus, Holton Mills, and Autumn Garick for Seminole County School Board.

Polls are open today from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If you are voting in person, make a plan to visit your assigned Election Day polling location.

📬 Voting by mail? Your ballot must be received by the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections by 7:00 PM today. A postmark does not count.

Visit Vote Seminole for your polling location, ballot status, and official election information.

Voting is your voice. Whatever your choice, make sure your voice is heard.

The PERC ballots are being mailed out soon to all teachers in Seminole County. Look for them in the mail. Please check that your mailing address is correct with the District. The ballots must be mailed back to them by October 21, 2026. Please encourage all teachers to vote and return their ballots. We need to have over 50% of educators return their ballots at the minimum.

🗳️ TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF EARLY VOTING!

If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, Seminole County early voting locations are open today, August 15, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

After today, your final opportunity to vote in the August election is Election Day, Tuesday, August 18. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

School Board races are on the August ballot, along with other important contests affecting our community.

Visit Vote Seminole for official voting locations and voter information.

Your vote is your voice. Make a plan to use it and make your voice heard.

Early voting is underway in Seminole County! 🗳️

The UniServ PAC and Seminole Education Association have endorsed Kristine Kraus, Holton Mills, and Autumn Garick for Seminole County School Board.

Early voting continues through Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. During early voting, Seminole County voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location in the county, regardless of their assigned Election Day precinct.

Make a plan, bring a friend, and make your voice heard.

Voting by mail? Make sure your ballot is actually received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7:00 PM on Election Day, Tuesday, August 18. Postmarks do not count.

There are several opportunities coming up to stay informed, get involved, and make your voice heard.

Join us for the SEA Member Assembly on August 20, where members will connect, discuss issues from the first weeks of school, and prepare for the work ahead.

Then, consider attending one or both upcoming Seminole County School Board meetings on August 25 and September 8. The August 25 meeting begins at 5:30 PM at the Educational Support Center.

You do not have to speak at a meeting to participate. Showing up, listening, learning, and supporting colleagues all matter.

One of the things we continue to hear from members is that they want more opportunities to be involved. These are some of those opportunities.
