The Altamont Lions Club soccer program is looking for volunteers to help run the program.
The league has been run by Corey Pals the last 10 years. Corey has two boys that are both in fall sports
and he can’t go enjoy their games and still commit the amount of time needed to smoothly run the
local soccer program.

There are three separate age groups: Kindergarten and 1st grade. 2nd and 3rd grade. 4th, 5th and
6th grade. Sign-ups usually occur the last two weekends of July. Matches are played during the
months of September and October.

Ideally there would be multiple volunteers. A volunteer to run K-1st, a volunteer to run 2nd-3rd, and
a volunteer to run 4th-5th-6th. You do not need to be a member of the Altamont Lions Club to
help. Corey is willing to work with the new volunteer/s to show them how the league has been run in previous years. The new committee will work with the Lions Club to run the soccer program the way they feel works best. New eyes and fresh ideas can be a good thing.

The Altamont Lions Club will be holding off announcing the sign up dates until we know we have
a new group of volunteers ready to run the season.
