We’re excited to welcome River Thompkins to our studio this week!

River is a High School graduate of Acton Academy’s West campus and will be available for a parent FAQ session on Thursday, 5/21 at 3 PM.

If you’ve been curious about the Acton experience, learner-driven environment , his high school journey, or what life after Acton looks like, this is a great opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from a graduate who has lived it.

✨What are Quests? ✨

Every six weeks we focus on a Quest which provides the overarching theme for that session. Within the Quest, it’s broken down into smaller projects, games and challenges that change week to week.

💥Here are our Spark Quests for this year (ages 5-8)💥

Example: in our cooking Quest we learned measuring, chopping, mixing, serving etc.

Each Quest then ends with an Exhibition where the families are invited in for a demonstration on what we have been practicing!

Acton Albany is a drop-off program for homeschooling families, where children learn through hands-on experiences, meaningful real-world projects, and engaging Socratic discussions.

Our Spark Studio is designed for children ages 4–8 (age 4 by July 1) and offers a beautiful space for social connection, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration.

We are a place where curiosity is encouraged and each child can grow, discover, and thrive.
