PACF Giving Tuesday

11/28/2022

As you shop for gifts this season for your friends and family, please don’t forget your Parsons Area Community Foundation Family! You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday; this year the Parsons Area Community Foundation will again be hosting a Match Day on Giving Tuesday, November 29th – the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

• Join us at the LCC Cardinal Event Center to donate by cash, credit card, or check made payable to PACF. This seventh annual “Give Where You Live” Match Day will be a hybrid model like last year. There will be displays from our local endowed funds for you to preview or you may call us from the parking lot of the Event Center (620) 778-5423 between 7 am and 7 pm. We will come to your car and collect your donation form and donation.
o Date: Tuesday November 29, 2022
o Time: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
o Place: LCC Cardinal Event Center, 1306 Main in Parsons

• You may also donate online at pacfgivingtuesday.com.

• Or you may mail a check with the donation form completed to PACF, PO Box 894, Parsons, KS 67357. (Envelopes must be postmarked by November 29, 2022 to be eligible for the match).

Your check can be made payable to Parsons Area Community Foundation or PACF.

• A $25,000 match pool will be divided proportionally between participating organizations based on their percentage of total dollars raised during our Giving Tuesday Event.

• There is no minimum donation. Every dollar counts and is appreciated!

• Donations are tax deductible if itemizing.

Building our endowment is a critical part for our future. We so appreciate, and will still need, your normal contributions. However, this unique Match Day provides an opportunity to increase our endowment, and your donation will go toward our savings to help to enrich our program for years to come. You are greatly appreciated for all you do.

With deepest thanks,

The 506 Foundation Inc. Board of Directors

The LCHS Alumni Banquet this evening was an amazing night. The Class of 2022 had 41 students receive 46 scholarships totaling over $24,000. The generosity of our alumni and community is inspiring! As we say, “Once a Grizzly, Always a Grizzly!”

Did you know Labette County Schools USD 506 has a former graduate that was a world leader in jet engine design? Arthur Adamson, class of 1936, graduated from the USC School of Engineering at the top of his class. His design of jet engines is still widely used on commercial wide-body jet aircraft.

What a truly amazing contribution to the world of science by a former graduate!

Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to support the Foundation's continued support of the education of students and teachers in the 506 school district. It all starts at 7:00am tomorrow.
