The Annual Chamber Banquet was held this afternoon where we were able to recognize several businesses for reaching 20+ years in business as well as presenting the Volunteer of the Year Award and the Citizen of the Year Award.

(drum roll, please…)

▪️Volunteer of the Year: Dave Frederking
▪️Citizen of the Year: Roger Beccue

In addition, for the first time in Altamont Chamber of Commerce history, a Community Impact Award was presented. The Be a Tiffany organization was the recipient of that award. Three ACHS seniors (Noah Stanley, Sophia Pearcy, and Makaylee Splechter) were in attendance to give first hand accounts on how Be a Tiffany has impacted them and present Tiffany’s family with their plaque.

Special thanks to Scott Beal for emceeing, The Carriage House for allowing us to use their space, Tiffany Wasson with The Giving Plate for providing a beautiful grazing table, and the community members in attendance.

We started recording a little late and missed Mr. Finn’s intro, so we are including it below.

“Hello, my name is Richard Finn, I’m 35 years old with a wife and 9 year old son. My daughter, Harper, was tragically killed in 2023 at the age of 5. I was raised n Altamont, got my early education here, and have called it home for the majority of my adult life. I’m not a career politician, I’m a friend and a neighbor, looking to give the citizens of Altamont a voice with what happens with their town”
