Last week, we joined the SGV Habitat for Humanity team to welcome Phyllis home to Altadena.

Phyllis will be moving into the second completed Lewis home, personalized with warm tones and gold accents to make it uniquely hers!

We’re looking forward to many more groundbreakings, milestones, and homecomings ahead. A big thank you to Phyllis and her family, the San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity team, and all of the partners who helped bring this home to life.

Our Live Rebuilding Series is back this Saturday, August 29! 🏡

Join us on site in Altadena as we follow the progress of four Foothill Catalog homes — the Lexington, Elizabeth, Opa, and Lily — and get a closer look at the rebuilding process as it unfolds.

This third session will focus on exterior finishes: the materials, details, and design decisions that shape a home’s character while supporting durability, resilience, and long-term performance.

The Modern Edit: featuring the Passivist, Ellwood, Sunset House, and TFCF’s Mid-Century Modern-inspired interior design package.

The Passivist and Ellwood will be available for both Altadena and the Pacific Palisades, with warm tones, strong indoor-outdoor connections, and functional interiors inspired by Southern California’s rich Mid-Century Modern tradition.

Both designs, along with Sunset House, will be featured at our Palisades Design Showcase tomorrow, August 22, hosted at the Palisades LTRG Hub!

Take a tour of this amazing 3D model of The Bayview, built by CPP_ARC 5th-year students Josie and Blossom.

We were blown away by the level of care that went into this model, and especially grateful to Josie and Blossom for volunteering their time and talent to create such a detailed 1/2” = 1’-0” scale (!!) representation. Their work gives families another way to better understand the spaces, proportions, and character of a Foothill Catalog home.

The Bayview is a two-story, 2,010 SF home with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It is currently pending pre-approval in LA County for Altadena, with LA City pre-approval for the Pacific Palisades planned for the future.

The Figueroa II and Monterey II share a floor plan that can be flipped so the primary living spaces face either the front or the back, offering greater flexibility in how each plan responds to its setting.

Two stories, 2,395 SF, with 3 beds & 3.5 baths. Currently pre-approved in LA County for Altadena, with LA City pre-approval for the Pacific Palisades coming soon.
