VOTE NEXT WEEK!
Not just the general election but be sure to vote in the local Altadena Town Council Election. The bigger the voter turnout, the more County takes notice. So regardless of who you are voting for or even if your tract has someone running unopposed, please help get our numbers up.
If you happen to live in tract 4602 (Between Lake and Fair Oaks from Mariposa to the mountain) please consider voting for me.

Vote for
NIC ARNZEN
Councilmember, Executive Officer, Communication Committee Chair
New to the Council but hard at work for you.
I know our town can benefit from a more pro-active Council and I have been setting a foundation to help make that happen.
I have spent the past 22 months learning the ropes, pushing things forward and getting some great momentum going.
I am hoping you will let me keep building on that momentum.
We are so much stronger together and your vision, opinions, and help will be vital in moving forward so don’t just vote for me, join me and let’s make this the Altadena we dream for it to be.
To join the team, get on our monthly tract update list, or to let me know your concerns and questions, you can reach me at: [email protected]
What I’ve been doing
- Formed a Communication Committee
- Established the Town Council High School Internship Program
- Created the New Neighbor Welcome Packs
- Researching Legislation to take a proactive approach
- Canvasing the streets of my tract monthly noting issues
- Creating regularly scheduled Town Halls
- Composed and distributing a Resident Survey to better hear you and understand you
- Attending neighborhood watch groups & helped form new ones
- Assisting with removal of garbage dumping
- Helping folks with the fumbled Sanitation switch over
- Assuring trees were safely and properly cut from power lines
- Saving healthy trees from needless removal
- After the big windstorm this past year I:
Assisted in cleaning up streets and protecting residents from downed power lines, facilitated delivery of free temporary generators to homes with medical equipment
- During Covid isolation I:
Checked in on elderly, made sure they were aware of free vaccination services, delivered free food from county programs
- Started holding smaller neighborhood meetings to discuss concerns and challenges and come up with solutions together
What I plan to do
- Continue my work mentioned above
- Expand my Tract email list for better communication
- Form a Tract “team” to more efficiently serve and take action
- Form a “Council of Organizations” that will bring together the 80 plus local non-profits and special interest groups in a way better suited to work together and share info
- Establish an Endorsement Committee to advocate for the community, take a united stance on issues as a full Council, and clearly express to County what is important to Altadena
