We are so incredibly proud to give a shoutout to Aleah as she walks across the stage this weekend! 💛 💙

As part of one of our Core families, it has been such a gift to watch her growth, hard work, and determination pay off! From her many accomplishments to being named Valedictorian, she has truly worked so hard for this moment and it shows.

As she begins this next chapter pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher, we know she is going to make such a positive impact on the lives of so many students.

Congratulations, graduate! Your Core family is cheering you on, and we can’t wait to see all the incredible things ahead for you. This is only the beginning! 💜🍎 🎉

This past weekend, the men in our Core program partnered with the deacons of First Baptist Council Grove to build a deck for another leader’s family. It was one of those “you just had to be there” kind of days in the best way.

It was a beautiful reminder of what Core is truly about. Not charity, not “saving” people, but simply people loving people well right where they are.

From the moment the tools came out, so did the personality. These men showed up with generosity, skill, and a whole lot of laughter. There was steady work happening… but also some antics. 😂 The best part was the worship music blasting the entire time, because when the crew shows up, so does the soundtrack of praise!

Watching them serve was genuinely moving. They gave their time, their energy, and their hearts to support a family in a very practical way, and they did it with joy that was impossible to miss.

At Core, we believe community means walking alongside each other. Sometimes we give help, sometimes we receive it, and sometimes we do both. ❤️This day didn’t just impact the leader and her family, it impacted the men who came to serve as well. There’s something powerful about showing up for others, working side by side, laughing through the chaos, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

We truly believe the Lord blesses this kind of love and service, and the glory and praise of this project goes to Him! ❤️

Thank you boys for being people who love others SO well!

We had a great group discussion over Chapters 5&6 in our book “The Mountain is You”. The theme of these chapters was to examine how childhood wounds, trauma responses, and emotional patterns shape our adult behavior.
The author, Wiest, explains how we "inherit" emotional programming from our families, and how to begin returning what was never ours to carry. We spent time identifying generation “mountains” or lies that have taken over and worked to find the truth of them.

These conversations bring so much healing, a deeper connection, and understanding for everyone at the table. Core provides a space for us to think out loud and share even when we haven’t yet found an answer. ❤️‍🩹

After class, we went over to check our gardens. We must say they are doing great! We enjoyed some baby carrots while thinning, another beautiful salad, and a great harvest of snow peas! 🫛

We want to appreciate the Community Garden’s green thumb, Laura Armbrust, for caring for our gardens each day and sharing her wealth of knowledge with us! 😁

What a night Monday was! Core Friend Match Night was full of laughter, connection, and the start of something really meaningful!

Core Friends step in as support and encouragement, walking alongside our leaders as they work toward their goals and build stability through the 11 resources.

We’re so thankful for those who said yes. Your time, presence, and friendship matter more than you know. And the impact goes both ways.

We can’t wait to watch these connections grow. 🌻

Last Monday we studied Chapters 3 & 4 of The Mountain Is You, focusing on building emotional intelligence. We also had some time to check on our garden! It’s growing, but weathered by the recent hail storms.

Still, we gathered what we could and made something good from it! 😁 A reminder that even when things don’t go as planned, growth is still happening. 💜
