The TONE Forest Recreation Association is a non-profit membership organization offering a wide range of recreational activities and vacation getaways at the 3,200 acre TONE Forest in Southwestern New Hampshire. The TONE Forest is a special place in Southwestern New Hampshire, where members leave behind the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives to rest, relax, and recharge among more than 3,200 acres of woodlands, ponds, and streams. The TONE Forest Recreation Association is a group of families who have found a unique way to freely enjoy and preserve the TONE Forest, in some cases for four generations! They return again and again to make life-long memories and strengthen family bonds. Members enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the many old carriage roads and trails which traverse the diverse ecosystems on the property. Sportsmen and women can spend hours casting for bass, pickerel and perch in the shallow waters of our private bass pond (30 acres), or try their luck in our larger spring fed pond (60 acres). Our private fly fishing trout pond (6 acres) has the ideal size, water depth and vegetation to support the large brook trout we stock annually. Pistol, rife, s***t, and archery ranges are available, as well as hunting in season. Facilities include multiple year-round vacation homes. The organization is family oriented, with many members using the facility to gather three and four generations in one location with lots to keep everyone entertained. Children of all ages delight in swimming and boating in the row boats, canoes, and kayaks located on each pond. In winter, the ponds and hills provide ice skating, ice fishing and sledding thrills. The TONE Forest is also very conservation minded, and is partnered with Timber Owners of New England (TONE) to develop a unique model of recreational land use and sustainable forestry that has protected the forest for 70 years.
