In memory of Alejandra Franco, the SRSU Rodeo Exes and Alumni will provide purple ribbons at the gate at the S.A.L.E. Arena on Friday and Saturday nights. Please feel free to take one and wear it throughout rodeo weekend, or WEAR PURPLE to show our love and support. ✝ 💜🤍

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Miss Franco’s family, friends and the Tarleton State Rodeo Team during this time of intense sadness. Rodeo is a family no matter which team you’re on.

Please keep the Tarleton State Rodeo Team along with the entire Lonestar Region in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to compete here in Alpine this weekend.

The Tarleton State Rodeo Team is deeply saddened by the passing of our own, Alejandra Franco.

Alejandra tragically lost her life yesterday, leaving behind a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

During this difficult time, we ask that you join us in keeping her family, friends, and the team in your thoughts and prayers.

Tonight at the Sul Ross Rodeo Kick Off Dinner we officially signed the ANRS & Rodeo Exes Memorial Endowment. This has been in the works for several months and will provide scholarships for Sul Ross Ag & Rodeo Students for years to come as we add to it every year. We couldn’t have done this without all of you. This year we dedicated it to the memory of Larry Byrum.
