..RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Unseasonably Warm Temperatures...and
Strong Gusty Winds could cause erratic fire behavior.

* AFFECTED AREA:
In Central WY Fire Zone....289.
In Southwest WY Fire Zones...277...279.

* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central WY...Fremont...Natrona.
In Southwest WY...Sweetwater...Uinta.
In West Central WY...Lincoln.

* WIND: West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* HUMIDITY: As low as 11 percent.

* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the mid to upper 70s.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Very warm temperatures, strong wind, and very low humidity returns for Wednesday afternoon. Wind gusts of 40+ mph will be widespread Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening ahead of a cold front. Burning is strongly discouraged. Please make sure all fires are extinguished thoroughly before Red Flag Conditions occur.

This weeks Idea for Action in your neighborhood: Work with your local fire department and Emergency Management, and County Fuels Mitigation Coordinator to establish an evacuation plan so residents can safely exit the community during a wildfire or other emergency event. Make all residents aware of the plan. Make sure all residents know 2 ways out of the neighborhood.
