What began as a children’s home in Samaná has grown into a ministry caring for children, strengthening the local church, and serving the wider community.

Our three connected pillars - Children’s Home, Church & Discipleship, and Missions & Community Outreach—express one calling: demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ in action.

The children’s home is the foundation of this story, and today that same love continues to take root and reach further through the church and community.

Throughout October, we’ll introduce you to the people, stories, and everyday moments behind each pillar - and how you can be part of it.

Yesterday was Robelis’s birthday, and we’re still celebrating him today! 🎉 We’re so grateful for the joy he brings to our family and proud of the young man he is becoming. Robelis, we pray this new year brings you many reasons to smile and reminds you how deeply you are loved. Happy birthday!

No school yesterday meant a river day - and a fun hike to get there!

Fun fact: Many of our kids would choose a river or spring over the beach. They love the cool, fresh water! We’re grateful for a day spent exploring and making memories together.

Music lessons for our boys are going incredibly well!

It has been a joy to watch our students grow in confidence, develop new skills, and discoer their musical gifts. This reel highlights Deiling, Samuel, and Felipe, who have been working hard and making wonderful progress!

We are grateful for every opportunity to invest in their lives and encourage the gifts God has given them. Also, we are grateful for their teacher Starlin who has taught with excellence and patience❤️

We cannot end this month without highlighting Michael and Jennifer for their faithful service to AOL for the past 3 years! September 8th marked three years since they came to serve our children and community. They have built incredible bonds and have served faithfully. We are grateful to the Lord for their lives. “I really needed this.”

These are words we’ve heard from so many women after our women’s gatherings.

Working with the women of Samaná - through mission teams, community gatherings, and now Entre Nosotras - has been incredibly meaningful. Many women rarely have the opportunity to step away from their daily responsibilities and simply enjoy the moment.

Our desire is to continue creating spaces where women feel welcomed, refreshed and encouraged - but most importantly, where they can hear the Gospel and grow in God’s Word.

We’re deeply thankful for every church, mission team, and supporter who has prayed, donated, and served alongside us. Together, we’re investing in the women of this province, for the glory of God and advancement of His Kingdom.

Yesterday in Sunday School, our missionary Jennifer taught our kids about the wise man who built his house on the rock in Matthew 7. And of course, they got to do a little building of their own!

We love seeing our kids learn God’s Word in fun, hands-on ways that help them understand and remember what they’re learning.

Our prayer is that as they grow, they’ll continue learning what it means to build their lives on the firm foundation of Jesus. ❤️
